Our Mission

At What the Sprout, we harness the power of microgreens to improve health and strengthen communities. What started as a personal project is now a mission to bring sustainable agriculture to urban areas and address food security.

"We had salad mixed with microgreens, we had hummus mixed with microgreens…crackers, cheese grapes and ham. I’m usually picky about my food but it was really good."

SOW FOR CHANGE

Who We Serve

We prioritize underrepresented communities, offering programs that help children, families, and individuals grow their own food. We’re proud to work with organizations like Baltimore City Recreation and Parks and Baltimore County Public Library to make a direct impact.

Why We Do It

Our goal is to combat food insecurity by teaching people to grow their own nutritious food. By empowering communities with the skills to grow microgreens, we aim to foster a healthier, more sustainable future for all.
